TEN REASONS TO BE ON A SECC TEAM IN THE AUGUST CW NAQP:

10. You love that ringing in your ears from the rotten QRN.
9. There is a [church/family/office/neighborhood] picnic that you
    need an excuse to avoid.
8. You actually did some summer antenna work and wonder if it works.
7. You think you remember the code, but need to find out for sure.
6. It's too hot to work outdoors on the "HoneyDo" list.
5. It's NOT too hot to lay out a few radials for the 80/160 vertical.
4. You need a reason to hook up all the toys you bought at Dayton.
3. It's been so dry you can contest instead of cutting the grass.
2. GaQP helped you remember how to get to your hamshack.

...and...

1. Well, there's this guy in your club who is crazy enough to think
we all ought to be contesting on some hot Saturday with QRN that rattles
your ears and with that power pole out back that always gets REEEAAALLLY
noisy during the dry summer months but it doesn't matter because
absorption is bad enough to kill most signals so you don't have to
worry about rate which is good because you are so badly out of practice
that you couldn't get in sync for a good run anyway so you figure why
not get on and do a little hamming 'cause its usually fun when you do...
