[SECC] 160 Antenna

Ed and all,

What you have is a bent vertical dipole.  This is a useful antenna for
limited
space or temporary installation.  It can be thought of as an inverted-L with
one radial.  It does not, however, radiate at 3 dBi -- it sounds like you're
using MININEC ground or a high conductivity.  Although it won't be as
good as an inverted-L of the same height with many radials, it will get you
lots of contacts.

I'll try to come up with some practical suggestions for 160M antenna
improvements for the contest season.
