[SECC] GQP change

    It appears the date for the GQP is going to change. One suggestion is
for the
second week in April.
    If a change is to be made and if it is to April, we need to act quickly
for a couple of reasons.
    1-The various ham publications have a copy deadline of from one to three
months prior to publication date. If we change to April, then the
announcements should appear in publications probably no later than February.
To make the copy deadline for the February issues we would have to get the
change
notices out probably in November and certainly no later than December.
Actually, we probably would be better served to get the notices out within
two to three weeks. No
magazine will bust a copy deadline for one state's QSO party date change.
    2-I think SEDXC is a co-sponsor of the GQP. We would probably need to
coordinate changes with them. Also, club members need to know soon enough to
check their own plans for April.
