I will be posting the updated rules to the GQP to the web site tonight.
I have taken the liberty of eliminating some of the antiquated rules
that existed. Here is a summary of the important changes.

1) There will be only 3 operating classes - Single Operator, Multi Operator and Rover. The Novice /Tech class has been eliminated. Multi-op can be either
Multi-Multi or Multi-Single. To my knowledge we have never had a M/M entry and have never offered an award for it. Also, Single Operator's WILL be allowed to
use Packet. This will encourage activity by out of state entries who will be chasing the Rover stations and will also encourage contacts with fixed GA stations on other bands other than 80 , 40 and 15 meters.

2) All entries with over 200 QSO's must be submitted in the Cabrillo electronic format. Paper logs with less than 200 QSO's will be accepted. Logs not meeting these requirement will be reclassified as check logs and will be not be eligible for awards.

3) Final results will be posted ONLY on the SECC web site and on the "3830" internet reflector.

At the club meeting I would also like to discuss the maybe adjusting the contest hours from the present Saturday/Sunday and 20 hours. I would like to see a 4 hour period starting 0000z to 0400Z on Friday and maybe 1300Z - 0300Z on Saturday. I would like to eliminate Sunday so we do not run into any conflicts with Easter, like we will have this year.

We also need to update to plaque sponsor list. Please send K4OGG
or myself an email to confirm you sponsorship of a plaque for this year...

The floor is open for discussion.......
