[SECC] Use of the W4AN Call Sign

Scott,

I, too am sorry Chris won't be using the club callsign at FD.  While I am
not the trustee of the call, if you are a member of the club, ask to use the
club call for a weekend it's available, seems to me you should be able to
use it.  We know the FCC rules for using a club callsign and as long as they
are followed, there shouldn't be a problem with anyone in the club using the
call.  I know if I wanted to deal with a bunch of political and formal
procedures, I'd be a member of local clubs here in Huntsville.  It may have
changed some but I haven't been back to find out.  That is the cool thing
about the SECC, its all about the O.  Operating the Radio in a contest
envrionment. That is what makes FD so fun. The number of stations, just like
you that operate 1A or 2A.  3 or 4 guys with a radio and some wires in the
trees to get on the air..
