Comments:

FT1000MP x 2 (SO2R), 100 watts output, TH6DXX, zepp, inverted vee. This
pitiful score wasn't for lack of trying. 20 M was very weak. Mostly I heard
west coast stations working each other on that band, but a few heard me. 40 M
suffered mostly because my 40M dipole which favors the west was down and most
of the signals were from the west. Did work WA1Z, VA3NR, and N9CK on 40 early,
but the skip was soon beyond them too. 80M was very good for the eastern part
of the country as far west as Texas, but the west coast was very weak. Heard
on 80, but did not work, W0BH and WD0T. Sorry also to miss W5JAW and N6ZFO on
40. Early on, on 40, I was called by Doc, K0EVZ, in NM, who apparently thought
I was in some QRP contest and wouldn't give me a QSO number. I lost about 4
minutes trying to get the NM mult on 40 and never seemed to get back in sync
for a good rate after that. Maybe next week conditions will be better, but I
will miss it due to being in Dayton for the Hamvention. Hope to meet some of
you there. 73, John, K4BAI.
