Its tough to win the SS from Georgia.  You need to be where you have long,
strong openings to W1-3, W8-9, and Northern VA.  better locations for
winning the SS
include W6, W7 (Nevada or washington), W5 (MS to TX) and recently KP4 or
South Florida (altho K4XS is moving to KH6). You can aim at Top 10 or
Division Lead.

For the SS, a tri-bander at 50 and wires for 40 and 75/80 are all you need.
At least a 1/2 KW amp and a decent transceiver.  If you can operate SO2R all
the better.  A super station's only advantage is multiple antenna choices
(not over 70 feet).  160 and 6 have been used but concentrate on 40, 20, and
perhaps 15.  Late night hit 75/80.

Over the years the exchange has been shortened but make accuracy of your log
keying the highest priority.
Whatever score you make don't lose it to mistakes!
Finally check your log to assure correct dates, bands,
and cabrillo correctness.  Don't use the SS to try out a new logging program
either.   Most are feature rich and require a lot of practice and patience
to learn how to use them.  So unless you have a lot of experience with the
logging program start easy and just use the logging function and networking
and PC/Rig interfacing can come along as you get more experienced.
