Ok RTTY freaks, the next RTTY contest is coming up... get ready for
the Makrothen Contest!

The contest takes place on the second full weekend of October each
year. The next contest dates are Saturday 14. and Sunday 15. October
2006, with three separate periods: Saturday 00:00 - 07:59 UTC and
16:00 - 23:59 UTC and Sunday 08:00 - 15:59 UTC.

The main goal of this contest is to accumulate the distances between
your station and the different stations you have worked. Working 100
stations with an average distance of 1.000 km will give you 100.000
km-points. But working 20 stations only with an average distance of
5.000 km will give you 100.000 km-points also. For the lower bands
(40m/80m) you can multiply your points with a weighting factor.
