This week brings a lot of contest opportunities:

1. Straight Key Century Club Sprint. 00-02Z Wed (Tues night local).
160-20M CW. Name + SPC + SKCC# or power.

2. North American QRP CW Club Sprint. 0030-0230Z Wed (Tues night
local). 80-20M CW. RST + SPC + NAQCC# or power.

Unfortunate conflict between these two hand key/bug events. Fortunately
the QRP guys will be around 3560, 7040, and 14060 and the SKCC guys will
be around 050 on each band.

3. NCCC NA Sprint Practice. 0230-0259Z Fri (Thurs local). Both
callsigns, #, Name, SPC. Dupes OK after band change or one intervening
QSO. One khz QSY rule.

4. Pennsylvania QSO Party. 16Z Sat - 05Z Sun and 13-22Z Sun. 160-2M
CW, Phone, PSK, RTTY. RS(T) + ARRL Section or PA county. There is
always a lot of 160M activity in this one and CW and SSB on any open
band. RTTY was added last year. Not sure how much PSK or RTTY activity
there will be particularly since there are other RTTY events this
weekend. Note that they require you to send in a paper summary sheet by
mail, which you may print out from their webpage (so it says in the
rules, but there is no page there now).

5. Makrothen RTTY Contest. 00-0759Z Sat. 16-2359Z Sat. 08-1559Z Sun.
80-10M RTTY. 4 character grid square.

6. 10-10 Intl. 10-10 day contest. 0001Z - 2359Z Wed. Name + SPC +
10-10 # if your have one. 10M any mode.

7. Logbook of the World CW. 00-2359Z Sat. 160-10M CW. RST + SPC.
8. Logbook of the World RTTY. 00-2359Z Sat. 160-10M RTTY. RST + SPC

Heard no activity in SSB equivalent of this contest last weekend, so
don't look for much on CW or RTTY either.

9. Oceania DX Contest, CW. 08Z Sat to 08Z Sun. 160-10M CW. RST + #.

10. EU Autumn Sprint CW. 80-20M CW. 16-1959Z Sat. Both calls, serial
#, name.

11. FISTS CW Club Fall Sprint. 17-21Z Sat. 80-10CW. RST + SPC + name
+ FISTS # or power.

12. North American Sprint, RTTY. 00-04Z Sun (Sat night local).
80-20M. Both calls, #, name, SPC. Dupes OK after 3 intervening QSOs.

13. Bill Windle QSO Party. 24 hours of Saturday UTC. FOC sponsored QSO
Party open to all CW hams. Exchange: RST, name, FOC# if applicable.
Activity around 025 khz. Avoid DX window on 160.

Hope everyone has a nice week and a lot of QSOs. I'll try to keep in
touch by e-mail while I am out of town. Will try to get back on the air
for the last few hours of the BWQP and some of the PQP.

73,

John, K4BAI.
