4. Michigan QRP Club January Contest
K4BAI 1 1 2 SO QRP 5W :01 GA
Actually did a lot of calling CQ, but heard no other activity in this,
one popular, QRP contest.

This week's contests:

1. NAQCC January Sprint. Wednesday local, Thursday UTC 0130-0330. 80,
40, 20 CW. Exchange: RST, SPC, NAQCC# or power output. Double score
for hand key. 1 1/2 score for bug. Mults count only once.

2. 40M QRP Fox Hunt. Thursday local, Friday UTC. 0200-0330. 5W
maximum. 2 Foxes hiding between 7030 and 7050. Work only the two
Foxes. One will be K0FRP. AE5BH has bowed out and I don't yet know who
will sub for him. Exchange: RST, SPC, Name, Power.

3. SNS. Believe there will be a LP NAQP Practice Slow Speed Session,
0200-0215 UTC Friday (Thursday local) on 40 and 80M only. Max speed:
23 WPM. Dupes OK after band change or one intervening QSO. Exchange:
Both calls, #, Name, SPC.

4. NAQP SSB Practice Sessions. Both Thursday and Friday nights local,
0330-0359 UTC. Usual NAQP rules. No dupes. Exchange: Name, SPC.
100W maximum power

5. LZ Open Contest. 04-12 UTC Saturday. 80 and 40 CW. Exchange: 3
digit serial # plus the last three digit serial # received. Dupes OK
after 30 minutes.

6. UK DX Contest RTTY. 12Z Sat to 12Z Sun. 80-10M RTTY. Exchange:
RST + QSO # or UK Area.

7. Hungarian DX Contest. 12Z Sat to 1159Z Sun. 160-10M. Exchange:
RS(T) + Hungarian County or Serial #.

8. NAQP SSB. 18Z Sat to 06Z Sun. 100W Maximum. 12 hour maximum
operation for single ops. 30 minute minimum off times. Exchange: Name
+ SPC for North America and Hawaii. Only Name required for other DX.

9. ARRL January VHF Sweepstakes. 19Z Sat to 04Z Mon. 50 mHz and up.
Exchange: 4 character grid square. KY5R has been reporting E skip
openings in the afternoons for the past week, so 6M could be fun.

Hope everyone has a good week and a lot of QSOs. Hope to see you on
many bands in NAQP SSB and maybe on 6M in ARRL VHF SS. I should also be
in the NAQP practice sessions and for a couple of hours or so in the
Hungarian DX Contest.

73,

John, K4BAI.
