Hello Mike,

I would recommend a HC 5 element  I have used the HC 4,HC 5 , and HC 6

The 4 is great for DX but the response is just to narrow for Rag Chew.  

The 6 is OK for Rag Chew but the response is very flat and with out EQ it does not really sound good for either one.

The HC 5 element gives the best of both worlds.  It is very sharp which for DX it seems to work well but also seems to be well rounded for Rag Chew also.

Just my 2 cents worth.
