Comments:

This Sprint was a serious whuppin'. As usual, I couldn't get myself 
heard on 20
meters. Changing to 40 didn't make things a whole lot better; the band 
was long
and I didn't get through too many times. 80 was decent, but it got 
worked out
toward the end and the rate was really slow. Between the poor antennas 
and being
5db down to the full power guys, it was a real struggle. I also noticed 
that a
lot of folks seemed to be jumping the gun and calling stations that 
inherited
the frequency before they could send acknowledgement for the previous 
QSO. I got
skunked more than once because I was waiting to hear the ack and 
somebody else
called right over it. I also had a few QSOs where the worked station 
never sent
the ack. Timing is critical in the Sprint, and everybody needs to be 
sure they
don't cut things too close. The few milliseconds saved can cause unneeded
confusion.
