....is currently in Athens Regional Medical Center here with a severe
kidney stone problem. Several of us thought that SEDXClub members should
know that if there is no change in Tom's condition, he will undergo
surgery on Wednesday morning. He went into the hospital yesterday
(Monday) morning around 9:30AM with severe pain, but has been resting
relatively comfortably since. The stone has exited the kidney and is now
quite a ways down his left ureter, so lithotripsy and chemicals no longer
seem to be a viable option. He had an operation of a similar sort about
20 years ago and has had no problems until the present. For those of you
who might want to call and speak with him, he is in room 3232 at ARMC
(dial 706-357-9220 and then the room number, 3232 for his extension). I
think he would really appreciate hearing from some of the guys in the
club. I will keep you posted on his recovery. De Pat Scott, W4NW,
