   My wife and I spoke with Linda yesterday afternoon about Tom's
condition and she essentially told us there was no significant
change.  I do NOT get the impression he will be exiting the ICU
today or tomorrow.  Probably toward the end of the week.  He is
still having speech problems and cannot stand up.  He seems to
get very nauseous when they attempt to sit him up in bed.  He is
in the SURGICAL ICU (there are FIVE Intensive Care Units at
ARMC (Athens Regional Medical Center) and although I do not
think they have performed ANY surgery as yet, I think they put
him there in anticipation that he may later need some if
justified.  I have received many messages for Tom which I am
saving with a record of phone calls and emails which I hope to
give him when he can have visitors.  No other details at the
