SEDXC MEETING QTH CHANGED FOR FEBRUARY MEETING:
730 PM AT THE FUQUA HEART CENTER OF PIEDMONT HOSPITAL Tuesday February =
19, 2002
(1968 PEACHTREE ROAD) Close to I 85, I 75, I 20, I 400
It appears that the facilities at RadioShack.com will be insufficient =
for the February meeting. Radio Shack has sold the tables and I am =
told, many of the chairs. There is no audiovisual equipment available. =
This could make for a rather uncomfortable meeting.
I have secured a classroom in the Fuqua Heart Center at Piedmont =
Hospital. We can use this space permanently for all our meetings if we =
so choose. IT IS FREE OF CHARGE. =20
All the other meeting spaces I have looked at will charge us to meet. =
Audio-visual equipment is non existent or costs extra. Expect to pay =
$200.00-600.00 per year plus $20-30 each meeting for AV equipment.
The Heart Center Classroom is Brand New. There is very good audiovisual =
equipment; TV with VCR, Computers for Power Point presentations, etc.. =
It is 2-3 times bigger than the room we have been meeting in at =
Radioshack.com. If the meeting goes past 9pm it would not be a problem. =
There are plenty of choices surrounding the Hospital for food before =
the meeting.
I realize other meeting places have been suggested. We can discuss this =
further at the next meeting and vote on the choices. If you have =
another QTH you would like to consider for the SEDXC meetings, please =
come prepared with the knowledge that you can secure that location =
before presenting it to the members.
I will send directions to the Classroom for the Fuqua Heart Center on =
Monday. I have to make a quick trip this weekend to St. Louis, MO to =
see my Mom who is in the hospital and do not have time to do it now.
This looks like a very good place to meet and is centrally located. =
Hope to see you there.
