They are scheduled to QRT March 13 their time. That means soon! But, I
believe there is to be a larger and better operated expedition following
in a few months.
My experience so far:
Monday night I heard them very loud on 20 SSB, 14195 QSY their own
frequency, then QSX 200 up. Pretty small listening zone it appeared.
They never fulfilled their promise to listen up in the General class
band.
Tuesday evening, they were on 10 CW (Merida operating, very slowly) and
I called until she suddenly disappeared. I then found them on 17 CW
with a better operator and called. He eventually said QRX and never
came back. I will give her credit for having learned to use a keyer
fairly well since the first expedition, but she still sends Y when she
means Q and vice versa. It's hard to tell whether she gets a call
correction or not. I heard her QSO JA1BK last night and say she wished
he was with them (so do I).
My beam is stuck pointed south still. But the WARC band antenna is a
wire, so I should be only at my usual disadvantage there and I can work
most anything I can hear if they will only stick with it for a while.
Good luck Dave and others. 73, John, K4BAI.
