I read the story with great interest and wish I could send it to you Carl
but Bernie has it under copyright and has made that very clear. Send him a
note and see if he will send it to you.
I was disappointed that the story didn't say what type of documentation was
sent to ARRL. The story didn't say that they got written permission from
Fish & Wildlife. Their permission to land was obtained from another
government agency. Did that agency get the permission from F&WL?
I agree that this trip may help down the road. I sure hope so.
I'll bet we never know who went to so much trouble to get them off the
island. It is my understanding from a member of the KP1/KP5 group that it
was NOT anyone in their group.
