William A. Cranford
(March 16, 1947 - August 18, 2007)

U.S. Veteran William A. Cranford, 60, of Acworth, died Saturday, August 18, 2007. William's call was W4SVY, but many of you will remember him as WA4SVY.  William started and ran "ZZZ Electronics" off Armour Drive in Atlanta, approx. mid 1970's.  This was one of the first Ham Radio stores in this area.Memorial services will be held at 11:00 Tuesday morning in the Chapel of Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Adam Jernigan officiating. A Florida native, Mr. Cranford was formerly self employed as a contractor and served his country in the U. S. Army during the Viet Nam War. He is survived by his Wife, Wanda Cranford of Acworth; Daughter, Kelli Davis of Birmingham, Al.; 2 Grandsons also survive. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-8 PM on Monday evening. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, 9 Medical Dr., Cartersville, Ga. 30121.
