Hello Group

I haven't had any luck in the FT100 reflector, so I thought I'd try here.

I have two problems I'm trying to solve
1) Having trouble getting ham radio deluxe to 'connect' to my FT-100D
HRD behaves the same if cable is connected or disconnected.
My only reason for using HRD was to verify the Yaesu CT-62 cable
and the USBMAX USB-SERIAL adapter for my Windows XP PC.

2) Looking for more detailed CAT programming description

On the first problem, I've about given up after trying every suggestion
I've received about getting HRD connected.

So, I've decided to debug the electrical connection by trying to talk to
the radio with my VB application.

All I want to do is have my home brew VB logger read the radio freq & mode.
.
I wonder if anyone knows of any better description of the interface
programming than is provided in the FT-100 manual?

I didn't see any description of the response data from the radio in the
manual. It shows what the command blocks look like, but I guess I'm
confused about what the responses to commands look like. Also, I don't
see anything like a "read freq" command op code.

Anyone know of a source for a better tutorial on CAT
interfacing/programming?

Thanks and 73
