[SEDXC] Contest: Does this count?

I have to ask further, why was it determined wire antennas only?

Many apartment dwellers can't erect wire antennas at all, I got lucky
with my 40M dipole although it is poorly oriented for DX work. If you
look at the current population of newly upgraded hams, you will find a
lot of them are apartment dwellers. Many resort to shortened
verticals strapped to their balconies but there are also some who can
erect no-radial verticals strapped to their chimneys (Cushcraft R5,
R6, etc. for example). Why some would feel a shortened dipole or
vertical has an advantage over a full size dipole or doublet in a tree
is beyond me,

I think a fair amount of new hams, along with city lot old-timers, are
being left out with this contest. Those of you with trees, no matter
how few, and your own house where you can do what you want need to
remember that there are a lot of little people less fortunate out
there.

I'm having fun though and just thinking of those who can't enter the
contest at all. I'll make due with my 40M dipole if my hamstick
dipole stuck in the rafters of my attic is deemed to be out of scope.
