[SEDXC] Lawrenceville Tower Restrictions

Before Gwinnett came up with the recent 70 foot tower rule the old rule was
50 feet. I am betting Lawrenceville is using a copy of the old ordinance
just written for them. When I put up my tower in 1980 I had W4BTZ look at
the Gwinnett County
rule and he found some misspelled words. That plus I got the then
Commissioner to back me and I got a permit to put up my 71 foot crank up.
Maybe its time to get W4UCK or Al W4BTZ to help if he is still into this
type of thing. The county officials always act like they don't know
anything hoping you will go away or comply with the current 50 foot rule.

height for a tower is 50 feet.
> I first went to the zoning dept for Gwinnett Co. and spent 3 days, day
after day, until they finally allowed me to talk to rep. Then they told me
since I was in the "CITY" of Lawrenceville I would have to talk to them..So
off to the City I went with the drawing of the tower, as stated by the
recommendations of "Rohn Towers." No one, including the county nor the city
knew what a tower was !!! After some discussion, they stated only a 50 foot
tower could be installed within the city limits of Lawrenceville.
