I have a Sony 40" LCD, no problems, wouldn't trade it for anything, except maybe a 50" :-).

Guys,

Not many are aware of this...

The Visio Brand, is the former Gateway Computer TV Brand we used to sell online
and in the old Country Stores.
Gateway dropped them because of all the problems and lawsuits we had.
We lost a ton of money selling these TV's.
We were not able to get parts, and the Plasma screens were leaking right near
the end of the warranty period.
It got so bad we were giving away Extended Warranty's to get rid of the
inventories we had.

Visio came on the market, when we stopped selling them.
The manufacturer decided to sell direct.
I have seen the Visio in the stores, and they are the same TV's we used to sell,
but with the new name badge on them.
My experience has not been very positive with Plasma. If you do go that route,
I would get the extended warranty.
I had the original Gateway, and now a Sony.

I have the 40" Sony XBR in my living room, and my Sony XBR 32" LCD's in my
office and bedrooms produce a much better HD Picture.
When I have family visiting and they are watching the Sony Plasma upstairs,
trying to work HF is difficult.
I can't wait for it to break, to replace it with a LCD.

John - agreed on the Visio - I picked up a Visio VX37L
HDTV10A (37" HD LCD) at Sam's Club about a month ago
for a very reasonable price and must say it's
impressive! Absolutely no RFI problems and an amazing
performer. And - I actually did pick it up! Only
weighs a little over 40 lbs! 73 -- Don N4HH
