Mack,

The optimal times cover a wide range, which is a good thing.  My data below are the UTC times that I worked these states in the ARRL 160 Contest  2006 thru 2008.  This will allow you to compare apples and apples since all QSOs were in December.

HI       0539, 0734, 0739, 1043, 1219

ID       0158, 0413, 0428, 0605, 0635, 0803, 0806

NV      0305, 0445, 0648, 0732

WY     0307, 0412, 0438, 0731


As you can see most were worked between 0400 and 0800.  Hope this helps and Good luck on getting them all.

  I need 4 states to WAS on 160M. Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, Wyoming. When is the optimal time during the evening to work these states?
