Here is a note from his son.  G8KW ran KW Works which made the KW-2000 
transceiver as well as other gear in the 1960's and 70's.  I first ran into 
a KW-2000 while working VS9KAC the Dxpedition by RAF ops to Kamaran Is off 
what is now Yemen 7O.

I wanted to let the Group know that Rowley Shears, my father and owner of 
KW, passed away peacefully yesterday. He reached the ripe old age of 90 
years and there is much to be thankful for in his long life. It's nice to 
see his photo on the front page, along with the KW Viceroy.
