You should find this to be an interesting article.  Debate has been taking place about the escalating costs of DXpeditions to exotic locations in the Antarctica regions of the globe.  Here's an analysis of the costs of the upcoming Amsterdam Island DXpedition.  All I can say is if you need it (new one, band, mode, etc.) and you get the Qs you desire, please consider contributing to help offset the expenses of this operation.  As noted in the closing comments of the article, if everyone gave up a cup of coffee (I'll still take tea) for each QSO that attain, and contribute the total dollars to the DXpedition, there would be no problems paying off the operation.
