[SEDXC] WinKeyer thoughts

Hi, Scott.

I have a WinKey purchased several years ago. Fine product. N1MM uses
WinKey to send exchanges which is most helpful when one's had gets tired
after several hours of operation. I'm a casual contester meaning I don't
spend several hours in the seat and prefer, instead, to send the exchange
with my key. The WinKey is connected in parallel with the key so I can use
my rig's (K3) internal keyer most of the time as I don't need the ability
to set various weightings and spacing parameters differently that default.

Several years ago, when shack computers were a lot slower, the WinKey
provided one important advantage: sending code without depending on
hiccups from the shack computer processor which can be affected by other
programs including, but limited to, burps from WinDoz.

If you have a recent rig with a good keyer and don't intend to get into
contesting, it's probably not needed. On the other hand, it is real cool
to use! I don't use the WinKey for DX chasing preferring to send using my
key. I suppose some day physical limitations may keep me from sending
clean code by hand and may, therefore, start using the WinKey. I know it
will be waiting for me if/when that should happen.
