Hi Jeff:  Sorry I wasn't able to be more QRV and contribute more 
points.  I did work N9HDE on IA on 40.  Turned out the play was at 8 PM 
instead of 7:30 as I had thought.  So, I got in a few minutes before we 
left and a few more at the end.  Did fairly well on 20 with one of the 
dipoles, but was getting some RF and it was logging stations on 160 SSB, 
so changed to 40 where there was no RF problem.

I went out the door yesterday afternoon and the coax from the beam was 
lying on the ground.  It appears to have broken off just on the rig side 
of the coax connector to the input of the balun.  I assume the balun is OK.

I will e-mail Dan.  We almost surely know the problem now. I'll probably 
order 100 feet of RG8 or whatever he recommends and not try to use this 
coax that I am not sure how old it is.  It may be that we replaced it 
the last time Dan was here, but I don't remember for sure.

Great job.  You almost caught N4PN who has better antennas, particularly 
on 20M, but is SO1R.  Maybe you will catch him after log checking, 
although I don't think he makes many mistakes.
