This Week's Contests:
1. CWOps Club CWT Mini Tests. Every Wednesday. Three separate
one-hour mini-sprints. 1300Z, 1900Z, 0300Z (Thursday UCT date). 160-10M
CW. Exchange: Name + CWOps# or SPC. Look around 028 to 045 kHz on
each band plus up from 1815 kHz on 160.
2. Practice Session for CQ WPX RTTY. Thursday night local date,
0100-0130Z Friday. Actual contest rules except dupes are OK. Look
around 080 to 090 kHz.
3. QRP Fox Hunt. Thursday night local date, 0100-0330Z Friday. Two
QRP Foxes will be calling between 3550 and 3570 kHz. Exchange: RST,
SPC, Name, Power. 5W maximum power. Do not spot the foxes frequencies.
The two foxes will be KV2X Tom NY and KR0U Tim, CO.
4. NCCC RTTY Sprint. 0145-0215Z Friday (Thursday night local). 100W
maximum power. 15, 20, 40, 80, 160M RTTY. Exchange: both calls, #,
name, SPC. 1/1 kHz QSY rule. Same band dupes OK after one intervening
QSO. Look around 080 kHz.
5. NCCC NS Ladder. 0230-0259Z Friday (Thursday night local). 100W
maximum power. 15, 20, 40, 80, 160M CW. Exchange: both calls, #,
name, SPC. 1/1 kHz QSY rule. No same band dupes permitted. Look
around 040 kHz and up from 1815 kHz.
6. CQ World Wide WPX Contest, RTTY. 0000Z Sat to 2359Z Sun. 30 hours
maximum for single ops with minimum 60 minutes off times. 80-10M RTTY.
Exchange: RST + Serial #. Work everyone. Club competition with
stations within a 250 mile radius circle.
7. South African Radio League Field Day Contest. 1000Z Sat to 1000Z
Sun. 160-20M CW, SSB. Digital. Exchange: # transmitters + Category +
South African Province or "DX."
8. Asia Pacific Spring Sprint, CW. 1100 - 1300Z Sat. 40, 20M CW.
Exchange: RST + serial #. One kHz QSY rule. Work only A-P stations.
9. Straight Key Weekend Sprintathon. 1200Z Sat to 2400Z Sun. Maximum
of 24 hours. Use mechanical key. 160-6M CW. Exchange: RST, SPC,
Name, SKCC# or "NONE."
10. KCJ (Japan) Top Band Contest. 1200Z Sat to 1200Z Sun. 160M CW.
Exchange: RST + JA Prefecture/District Code or Continent Code (NA for us).
11. Dutch PACC Contest. 1200Z Sat to 1200Z Sun. 160-10M CW, SSB.
Exchange: RS(T) + serial # or Dutch Province Abbreviation.
12. OMISS QSO Party. 1500Z Sat to 1500Z Sun. 160-10M SSB. Exchange:
RS + S/P/DX + OMISS # if you have one.
13. FISTS Club Unlimited Sprint. 1700-2100Z Sat. 80-10M CW. 100W
maximum power. Exchange: RST + SPC + Name + FISTS# or Power.
"Unlimited" means you are not limited in the speed at which you send.
14. Colorado QRP Club Winter QSO Party. 0100-0259Z Monday (Sunday
night local date). 80, 40, 20M CW. 5W maximum power. Exchange: RST +
SPC. Bonus points for working W0CQC or N0CQC.
15. QRP Fox Hunt. Tuesday night. Same rules as for Thursday nights on
80M (see #3 above) except the frequencies are 7030 to 7050 Khz and the
foxes will be WA4ILO, JIM, GA and K9JWV, JIM, UT.
16. Phone Fray. Every Tuesday night. 0230-0259Z. 15, 20, 40, 80, 160M
SSB. 100W maximum power. Exchange: Name + SPC. 100W maximum power.
No QSY rule.
17. CWTs every Wednesday. See # 1 above.
