Thanks to everyone who participated on a SECC team. All ten made QSOs
and promptly posted the scores to 3830. A good showing.
7. August Adventure Radio Society Spartan Sprint
K4BAI 22 22 SO QRP Tubby 1:20 GA SECC
This Week's Contests:
1. Phone Fray. Every Tuesday night local date.
2. CWOps Club CWT Mini Tests. Every Wednesday local date.
3. QRP Fox Hunt. Two foxes will be calling between 14050 and 14070 kHz
from 0100 to 0230Z Fri (Thurs night local date). Exchange: RST + SPC +
Name + Power. Work only the two foxes and do not spot their
frequencies. Unfortunately, the two foxes this week are N4MJ, GLENN, TN
and NC4RT, RANDY, NC. These are both pretty close for 20M, but N4MJ was
very loud and workable from here on his first run and NC4RT was workable
later in the hunt period on his first run.
4. NCCC RTTY Sprint. Every Thursday night local date.
5. NCCC NS Sprint. Every Thursday night local date. This week will
start a new ladder series. 8 weeks. Take the highest 5 scores.
6. Worked All Europe, CW. 48 hours of Sat and Sunday UTC. 80-10M CW.
36 hours max for single ops. Exchange: RST + serial #. Work only
European stations. You may send up to 10 QTCs to each European station.
This one brings out a lot of activity from Europe and can be a lot of fun.
7. Straight Key Century Club August Weekend Sprintathon. 1200Z Sat to
2400Z Sun. 160-6M CW. Use a mechanical key. 24 hours max time.
Exchange: RST, SPC, SKCC# or "NONE."
8. Maryland-District of Columbia QSO Party. 160-2M + 432. CW, Ph,
Dig. 1600Z Sat to 0400Z Sun. Exchange: Entry Class + SPC or MD county
or DC. Categories are Standard (STD), MOBile, CLUB, and QRP.
9. 4 States QRP Group Second Sunday Sprint. 0000-0200Z Mon (Sun night
local date). 160-10M CW, SSB. Exchange: RS(T) + SPC + 4S# or power.
10. North Amercian QRP CW Club Sprint. 0030-0230Z Wed (Tuesday night
local date). 5W max power. 20, 40, 80M CW. Exchange: RST + SPC +
NAQCC# or power. Double your score for using a hand key and 1 1/2 times
score for use of a bug. There is always a lot of activity and fun in
this one.
11. Phone Fray every Tuesday night.
12. CWTs every Wednesday.
Hope everyone has a nice week and weekend and a lot of QSOs.
73, John, K4BAI.
