ATTENTION: August 1 will be the North American QSO Party CW. We can
have teams of two to five members. Single ops may operate up to 10
hours and multi ops the full 12 hours. Only single ops may be on teams.
There is no high power category, so, to compete, all stations must be
low power or QRP power. I will register SECC teams before the start of
the contest. This is a fun contest with multipliers counted per band.
There is always a lot of activity. Please let me know ASAP if you want
to be on a SECC team and if you will be full or part time and if you
will run low power or QRP power. Thanks.

This Week's Contests:
1. RSGB IOTA Contest. 1200Z Sat to 1200Z Sun. 80-10M CW, SSB.
Exchange: RS(T) + serial # + IOTA island # if you have one. You may
work everyone, not just island counters, but only the island counters
are multipliers. This is a very Euro centric contest. When bands are
open to Europe, there will be a lot of activity. Otherwise, it will be
spotty. No reason we shouldn't have fun working each other for point
credits to go with the island multipliers.
2. The Adventure Radio Society Flight of the Bumblebees has been
postponed. BUT, in place of it, the Flying Pigs QRP Club is sponsoring
a one-time "Pig Out" Sprint. Suggested call: " CQ PO." 1700-2100Z
Sunday. 40-10M CW. 5W max power. Exchange: RST, SPC + FP# or power if
not a member. Then each sends 1X, 2X or 5X at the end of the exchange.
1X means not a FP member. 2X means a FP member at home. 5X means a FP
member in the field or portable with a temporary antenna. Of course,
look around 28060, 21060, 14060, and 7030-7045 kHz.
3. QCX Challenge. Three separate one-hour mostly QRP events on Monday
local date. 1300Z, 1900Z, 0300Z (Tuesday UTC date). 160-10M CW.
Exchange: RST, Name, SPC, Rig. More points for working stations with
QCX rigs. Usual QRP Frequencies.
4. WorldWide SideBand Activity Contest. Every Monday night local date.
0100-0159Z Tuesday. 160-6M SSB. Exchange: RS + either OM, YL,
Youth, or Youth YL.
5. Phone Fray. Every Tuesday night local date, 0230-0300Z Wed. 15,
20, 40, 80, 160M SSB. 100W max power. Exchange: Name + SPC. Mults
count per band. You can use your NAQP SSB contest module for it.
Suggested frequencies: 21325, 14250, 7175, 3800, 1875 khZ.
6. CWOps Club CWT Mini Tests. Every Wednesday local date. Three
separate one-hour mini-tests. 1300Z, 1900Z, 0300Z (Thursday UTC date).
160-10M CW. Exchange: Name + CWOps# or SPC. Look around 025 to 052
kHz on the higher bands and up from 1815 kHz on 160M.
7. QRP Fox Hunt. Thursday local date. 0100-0230Z Friday. Two QRP
foxes will be hiding between 14050 and 14070 kHz. Exchange: RST, SPC,
name, power. Work only the two foxes and do not spot their frequencies.
Scheduled foxes are N4FP, WAYNE, FL and N7CQR, DAN, OR. I'd not be
surprised if NC4RT, RANDY, NC is a fox in place of N4FP who subbed for
NC4RT recently, but the published schedule has not been changed. Work
whichever station identifies itself as a fox.
8. NCCC RTTY Sprint. Every Thursday night local date. 0145-0215Z
Friday. 100W max power. One/one kHz QSY rule. Exchange: both calls,
#, name, SPC. Same band dupes OK after one intervening QSO. 15, 20,
40, 80, 160M RTTY. Look around 082 kHz and up from 1805 kHz on 160M.
Hope everyone has a good weekend and week and a lot of QSOs. 73, John,
K4BAI. For SECC.
