1. Flying Pigs Walk for the Bacon. Second night. 40M. 0200-0300Z
Friday (Thurs Night local date). 5W max power. 13 WPM max speed.
Exchange: RST, SPC, Name, FP# or power. Suggested frequencies:
7110-7125 with 7123 being the "sweet spot."
2. NCCC RTTY Sprint. Every Thursday night local date. 0145-0215Z
Friday. 15, 20, 40, 80, 160M RTTY. 100W max power. One/one kHz QSY
rule. Exchange: both calls, #, name, SPC. Same band dupes OK after
one intervening QSO. Look around 080-090 on the higher bands and up
from 1805 kHz on 160M.
3. QRP Fox Hunt. Thursday night local date. 0200-0330Z Friday. 80M.
Two QRP foxes (K9DRP, DON, IL and AJ1DM, JOHN, RI) will be calling
between 3550 and 3570 kHz. Exchange: RST, SPC, Name, Power. Work only
the two foxes and do not spot their frequencies. 5W max power. Foxes
usually start out listening split and most go to simplex after the pile
up dies down. With patience, we should be able to work boht foxes from
our area.
4. NCCC NS Sprint Ladder Series. NS Ladder held every Thursday night
local date. 0230-0259Z Friday. 15, 20, 40, 80, 160M CW. 100W max
power. One/one kHz QSY rule. Exchange: both calls, #, name, SPC. No
same band dupes allowed. Look around 039 to 046 kHz on the higher bands
and up from 1815 kHz on 160M.
5. K1USN Slow Speed Test. 2000-2100Z Friday. 160-10M CW. Exchange:
Name + SPC. Mults are counted per band. Look around 029 to 052 or
higher kHz on each band and around 1820 kHz on 160M. You can use your
NAQp CW contest module, but add multipliers for countries worked per
band from outside North America. Maximum speed: 20 WPM.
6. Vermont QSO Party. 48vhours of Sat/Sun UTC. The first state QSO
party of the year. 160M - UHF. All modes (see rules for FT
instructions). Exchange: RS(T) + S/P or Vermont County. Mults are VT
counties and VT club stations once per mode. There are power multipliers.
7. 10-10 Club International Winter Contest, SSB. 48 hours of weekend
UTC. 10M Phone. Exchange: Name + 10-10# (or "0") + SPC.
8. This is a new one this year. EurAsia HF Championship. 0600-1800Z
Sat. 160-10M CW/Ph. Exchange: RS(T) + 6 character grid square.
9. Mexico International RTTY Conteset. 1200Z Sat to 2359Z Sun. 80-10M
RTTY. Exchange: RST + serial # or XE state.
10. FOC Marathon. This is a closed contest for members only. Approx
500 members worldwide. 2100Z Friday to 2100Z Sunday. 160-10M CW.
Exchange: RST + FOC #.
11. Minnesota QSO Party. 1400Z to 2400Z Sat. 160010M. CW/RTTY/Dig
(no FT) and phone. Exchange: Name + S/P or MN county.
12. FYBO Winter QRP Sprint. 1400Z to 2400Z Sat. 160-10M CW, SSB,
Digital. Maximum power 5W. Exchange: RS(T) + SPC + Name + power +
temperature at operating site. Use temp F. 100 bonus points per band
for QSOs with K7DD. (Note this is a change from prior FYBOs.)
13. British Columbia QSO Party. 1600Z Sat to 0359Z Sun; 1600-2359Z
Sun.160-10M CW/SSB. Exchange: RS(T) + SPC or BC District.
14. European Union DX Contest. 1800Z Sat to 1800Z Sun. 160-10M
CW/SSB. Exchange: RS(T) + ITU zone or for EU stations RS)T_ + EU Region
(4 characters).
15. NCJ North American Sprint, CW. 2300Z Sat to 0300Z Sun. 20, 40,
80M CW. Five/one kHz QSY rule. Exchange: boht calls, #, name, SPC.
There is also a team competition. At last report, KU8E had two full

16. K1USN Slow Speed Test. 0000-0100Z Mon (Sun night local date).
160-10M CW. Same as #5 above.
17. Adventury Radio Society February Spartan Sprint. 0200-0400Z
Tuesday (Monday local date). 80-10M CW. Exchange: RST, SPC, Power.
Maximum power 5W. Activity usually starts on 20M if it is open and
moves down to 40 and then to 80. Look around 14060, 7030-7045, and 3560
kHz.
13. North American QRP CW Club February Sprint. 0130-0330Z Wed
(Tuesday night local date). 20, 40, 80M CW. 5W max power. Exchange:
RST + SPC + NAQCC# or power. Multiply your score by two for using a
hand key and by 1 1/2 for using a bug.
14. QRP Fox Hunt. Tuesday night local date. 0200-0330Z Wed. Two QRP
foxes will be calling between 7030 and 7050 kHz. Foxes will be KV2X TOM
NY and W9CF KEVIN AZ. We might be able to work Tom from here and we can
usually work Kevin from here on 40M. See #3 above.
15. CWOps Club CWT Tests. Every Wed/Thurs. Four separate one-hour
tests. Wed 1300Z and 1900Z. Thurs 0300Z and 0700Z. 160-10M CW.
Exchange: Name + CWOps # or SPC. Look around 025 to 055 kHz on each
band and up from 1815 kHz on 160M.
