I just downloaded the latest cwsl and was able to get it running with
skimmer server and hdsdr... however it was creating a mirror image spectrum,
it was obvious on 10m that it was folded around the middle of the band, and
even the skimmer server was seeing that as spots were duplicated on the
mirror frequency. I did not see that with the sdrmax4 software. This is on
64bit win7.

Hi,

I have used the CWSL successfully on a 64-bit windows7 computer during both
CQWW weekends recording all 6 bands.
The latest version (1.4) does create correct .wav file headers that can be
played back on most SDR software like Winrad*, Spectravue etc...
The first versions had some problems with length fields of large (over 2
GByte) wav file headers.
Some users may experience a kind of "muting" effect on higher bands like
15 and 10m in low noise conditions. This can be fixed by changing the
scaling factor command line parameter (2-nd parameter) from default 16 to
something like 12 ... 14.
