Dave,
I wondered about external clock capability, too. I have gotten used to not having to constantly recalibrate the crappy clock on my QS1R after I GPS-locked it. My skimmer is in an unheated pole-shed in rural Wisconsin.

Pure speculation:

It seems like one of the analog inputs on the Red Pitaya could have a standard 10MHz GPS-disciplined signal connected. That signal could be timed by the RP and a clock-correction factor calculated. If that correction was applied in software, the low-phase-noise properties that the new board claims to have would be preserved.

Of course, that is easy for me to say, as I'm not the guy programming the FPGA. I'm not trivializing the effort involved, but just guessing that it can be done.

Has anyone heard whether it will be capable of locking to an external
frequency reference? The specs do not cover this.
