Today a new solar cycle 23 sunspot group emerged near S08W38. As has been 
the norm as of late it remains to be seen if it survives long enough for 
NOAA/SWPC to assign it a number, which would be #10116. Solar cycle 23 is 
now 13 years long from first spot to present one, an extension of the 
already record long solar cycle!!!
