Unfortunately Tom, your memory is not correct.
The highest official sunspot number of Cycle 24 occurred on 05/05/10,
with a number of 77. It was during your hiatus. A few other tidbits:
Highest flux - 96 on 02/12/2010
Biggest flare - M8.3 on 02/12/2010
Days in a row with a sunspot - 55 (ended on 08/20/2010)
