A new sunspot group has formed near N18W06 and has been numbered #11162 by
NOAA/ SWPC. The sunspot group is very large and magnetically complex
(beta-gamma-delta) and capable of producing X class solar flares.

Any solar flares that occur will be geo-effective (earth facing) and would
negatively impact radiowave propagation on the higher bands (20-10 meters)
in the form of coronal mass ejections (CME) and associated geomagnetic
storming (Kp-5>). Also sudden ionospheric disturbances (SID) and associated
radio blackouts would occur on sun facing side of the earth at high
latitudes on the lower bands (160-30 meters).

If no disturbances to earth's magnetic field occur then propagation
conditions on 20-10 meters will be good.
