Sunspot group #11164 produced an M3.7 at 07/2012Z, with an associated Type
II radio sweep and a Tenflare. The SOHO/LASCO imagery observed a full halo
coronal mass ejection (CME.)

As the CME was geoeffective (earth facing) a significant geomagnetic storm
will commence during the Wednesday-Thursday March 09-10 period. I expect
minor geomagnetic storming (Kp-5) at mid and low latitudes with moderate
geomagnetic storming (Kp-6) at high latitudes.

This morning UTC in Florida I'm seeing a sporadic E opening across the
eastern 1/3 of the U.S. on 6 meters. Aurora E propagation on 6 meters is
probable at high latitudes and possible at mid latitudes when the
geomagnetic storm commences.
