NOISE BLANKERS

Some time ago I used the 12 volt relay simulator to set up the
noise blanker in a Kenwood or Yaesu rig.
The simulator is supposed to mimic ignition noise.
The blanker in the set tuned beautifully and totally rejected
the simulators noise.
When tried on other pulse type noise however the blanker needed
slight retuning which could not be handled by the panel controls.
It all goes to show that all noise is not the same and some
times the owner must tune the noise blanker to reject the
particular noise on hand.
