Argosy II User impressions

Before I look for one of these puppies to add to my 'stable', I 
thought it might be a good idea to solicit some opinions. Regarding
the above, I'd like to know ....

1) After the 'new' left, what did you think of it? Any regrets?

2) It has a free running VFO/PTO. Any drift problems?

3) The AGC is audio derived. Any problems with it popping and other
   nasties?

4) What was the filtering like in stock form and did adding extra
   filters improve it? How well did/does it stand up in a crowded 
   band?
