I agree.  In fact, the RIT/XIT should be able to be reset while pressing
the REV button - that's a major reason for having a REV so you can spot
yourself in a pileup...

The VI+ is a great CW rig, no doubt about it. BUT, in a contest, the one
thing that really annoys me is I can't reset my RIT or change RX filters
while the rig is transmitting.

I ran the ARRL 160 contest with my IC-765 for just that reason. While my
computer was busy sending CQ, I could reset the RIT or make any changes
I
wanted to the receiver.

This is something TT should really take a look at.
