A couple more questions...

My previous list of questions concerning my newly acquired OMNI D
station was not long enough, so here are a few more...

1) My OMNI D came with a 20amp Astron power supply. The power supply
has no provision for external chassis ground (that's evident anyway),
but has a three pronged AC cord, which does obviously get grounded.
Should I run a ground strap from the 12- terminal to my shack ground, or
should I put a strap on the large bolt on the bottom of the supply
(presumably holds down the xformer), or is the -12 line that goes to the
OMNI be enough? (In other words, do the AC electric ground and the 12v
supply lines have me covered . . . if not, why is there no ground
wingnut type connection on the Astron power supply?)

2) The 20amp Astron power supply is rated at 16 amp continuous, 50% duty
cycle, 20amp CUI(?). The OMNI D manual states it draws a max of 18.5
amps. My Uncle had apparently been using this combination for some
time. Are there any concerns I should have? I.e., is the power supply
big enough? What if I were to start using a data communication mode
(non-Morse)?

3) The OMNI calls for a high impedance mic to be connected. What
happens if I connect a low impedance (600 ohm) mic to the jack?

Thanks once again!
