[TenTec] 515 Mods?

Has anyone run across a modification to increase the RF and/or IF gain on 
an Argonaut 515.  This rig seems to be lacking a bit in this department. 
My 509 had a better receiver. I wish I had kept it.

Also, has anyone installed both a CW and SSB XTAL IF filter in this rig 
with the ability to switch between the two. If so, I'd be most interested 
in how you did it, physically as well as electrically.
