Of course, it could be a brick.  You would only find that out after the UPS
man left.
It is a sad tale, but I also have had "HAMS" much more local than this
"take" me.  It is not the same friendly bunch of hobbyists it was 35 years
ago.  Back then most were trusty.
But then look at other perspectives.  There is more of every thing you
DON'T want on all the bands too.
About all we can do is be responsible for our own selves, and watchful
of the rest.
Here is hoping you get resolution.  If you don't, Florida is a nice spot to go
on vacation, and you could go camping in "Jon's" yard.
