[TenTec] Omni 5 that Hummms

I just brought an Omni 5 that works great except for the
hum that's coming from the model 961 p/s speaker.It's hard
to tell it's there when there's a signal present,but when
I turn the volume down you can hear it very well,also It is
so loud when you use headphones it makes it IMPOSSIBLE
to use them.The volume control does not affect the hum.I'm 
going to try my Kenwood p/s today to see if it goes away then.
Has anyone else run into this before?
