[TenTec] Dual Receive with Omni-VI

I believe the only time I would use dual receive in when in a split freq. pile
up.  Right now I use the REV button to try to set my xmit Freq. near the last
station worked.  Since I can't hear the DX station when doing this,  I some
times miss opportunities to call for a QSO or two.  I wonder how much
modification would be required to make the  REV button activate the TX VFO in
RX, with out deactivated the RX VFO.  Anyone know?
