A note here re: static: there are often strong static buildups (esp. on hi Q
ants, e.g. yagis) during blizzard level snow storms.  You can hear them
build - often to S9+20 then suddenly discharge.  I am not really sure if
there is enough energy to damage anything; it will take someone other than
me to do the integration.  As far as protection, I simply watch the wx
reports and disconnect as appropriate!
