The snap across a coax connecter will make you rise out of your boots.
.005 mfd charged to 20 kv, seems like enough energy to zap a lot of
radio parts. Better to drain than to try to withstand.
Energy = cv^2/2. So voltage is very important. 200 feet of RG-8 or RG-58
comes to .0058 mfd.
I vote for a 2K wire wound 10 watts as the shunt element to do the
charge prevention on a 50 ohm coax.
