Hi fellow Ten Tec fans,
I have a mysterious problem with my clock on the OMNI VI+ which was not
noticeable before OPTION #3 upgrade. Most of the time the clock keeps the
correct time. However, there are times when the clock displays the
incorrect minutes, while the hour is still correct or vice versa. I reset
the clock by going into the main menu. The clock is fine for awhile, then
it goes off again. The lithium battery is good and in place. It seems to
happen more when I am using my Hercules II amp with the rig. Could it be
stray RF floating around the shack? The station is grounded as best I can
since I am on the third floor with the ham shack. None of this happened
before the upgrade. Is there a fluke in my new upgraded board? Does anyone
else ever experience this intermittent problem with the clock? Any help or
advice would be appreciated. Should I call Ten Tec about it?
