Sure, just connect an antenna, apply drive and go. I've used mine often on
30. The only tuned circuits are low pass filters for each position of the
band switch so no modifications are needed. I don't have the manual at hand
so I can't tell you what the cutoff frequencies are for each band, but I
seem to remember using the 20m position for 30. I believe the cutoff for the
40m position is a little low, but you might want to check the manual for
that.
