I bought the TenTec adapter from Heil for mine, and it works great on my Omni
VI+ and only cost in the $15-20 range. It has an additional phone jack (stamped
PTT) for a footswitch to plug into, which I make heavy use of in SSB contests.
I don't find the Omni VI+ VOX to work reliably with my voice and the HC-5
element. I use the Heil footswitch, but most people who use it, me included,
find that it tends to rove around on you - needs to be taped or velcro'd down!
